Megan Tam RMT
I began practicing as an RMT in 2019 and graduated with honors from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. I am primarily a deep tissue focused therapist and have experience working with people from many different backgrounds and with varying conditions. This includes working with individuals experiencing back and neck pain, pregnancy/postnatal health, headaches, soft tissue injuries, repetitive strain injuries, a variety of sports injuries, tendonitis, sciatica, frozen shoulder and much more.
Drawing on my strong background in anatomy and physiology, I aim to understand my patient’s needs and to develop individualized treatment plans. My treatment style is a combination of Swedish and relaxation techniques coupled with proprioceptive neuromuscular therapy, Trigger Point release, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, dermoneuromodulation, and active and passive stretching. I believe that massage therapy is an integral part in maintaining overall health and well-being. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our 2 kids and dog, going for hikes, playing ultimate frisbee and going out for local eats. |
