Allow Yourself a System Reset

Tried, tested and true for centuries. Backed through extensive research. It's time to teach the body what it can do.

Acupuncture is known to heal a variety of ailments. One of its most magical therapies is its ability to lower our sympathetic nervous system, our body's built-in alarm. When thrown off balance, it can cause serious complications, including pain, chronic disease and premature aging. Regular acupuncture therapy is able to reset the nervous system and encourage the body to heal.

A session of acupuncture therapy is surprisingly painless, extremely relaxing, and often provides noticeable results. Check with your extended health provider to see if registered acupuncture is covered under your benefits.

Women's Health

Acupuncture has been known to do phenomenal things for women's gynaecological and health issues.

From rebalancing the menstrual cycle to boosting fertility - acupuncture can bring the intricate female body to a natural state of balance.

When done with a trained professional, acupuncture is also very safe during pregnancy, and a highly recommended form of natural therapy.

Fertility Acupuncture

Acupuncture works by mediating the release of chemicals that send messages from the brain, via various neurotransmitters, that affect reproductive hormones and organs. By stimulating blood flow to the uterus, it can help with embryo implantation. Also, it can boost the production of chemicals that inhibit stress hormone levels, which is essential during this time.

Prenatal Acupuncture

During pregnancy, common symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, constipation, pain, and heartburn can be hard to manage. Acupuncture treatments to support the pregnancy process is becoming more common place, and has proven to be extremely beneficial and effective. Closer to the baby's due date, acupuncture is also reported to shorten the duration of labour, and lessen overall pain during contractions.

Postnatal Acupuncture

After the delivery, postpartum care is also an important focus. Postpartum acupuncture can help with the recovery process after birth, support milk production and hormonal balance – all essential to a smoother recovery. The body has undergone many physical and hormonal changes during this time and needs nourishment the most.

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after treatments. It is a completely natural therapy that is able to lift the muscles without the use of injections into the face. This youth-enhancing treatment can noticeably tone facial muscles, diminish lines and sagging skin, stimulate collagen, brighten skin, banish wrinkles, and heal facial scars.

Stress and Anxiety Management

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective at calming with our sympathetic nervous system. Prolonged daily stress affects our circadian rhythm, digestive system, as well as the balance of hormones in our body. Acupuncture is effective at regulating the body's internal system, creating hormonal balance, and boost mood and energy levels, allowing us to be more effective at the things we do.

Moxibustion (Moxa)

Moxa has been used for centuries and for a variety of reasons. It involves the burning of a herb, Mugwort, and is used to warm and circulate the body. This is beneficial for autoimmune diseases, low immunity and any cold conditions such as Raynaud's. The warming properties of moxa has also been very successful in fertility and postpartum care, as well as turning breech babies.

Muscle Pain, Tension & Headaches

By reducing inflammation locally, resetting neural pathways, and promoting re-oxygenation of the tissues, acupuncture can be a highly effective, natural way to tackle pain for long term improvement. Positive results usually begin following the first acupuncture treatment where muscles will begin to relax and movement tends to be less restricted., helping with back pain, neck and shoulder pain, migraines and headaches.

Cupping

Cupping is a safe and effective therapy in reducing inflammation, relieving muscle tension, improving blood flow and promoting cell repair. Cupping has a particular knack for treating neck, shoulder and upper back pain. We use Korean hand-held pump cups for their safety, precision and accuracy. The cups are fixed to the body and left to rest for a few minutes. This focuses on oxygenation to the local tissues, the release of inflammation and muscular tension.

Gastrointestinal Disorders

Digestive issues usually impact quality of life and can cause much discomfort and inconvenience. Acupuncture is a powerful tool to regulate digestion, move constipation, calm IBS, reduce inflammation and even help with gas and bloating. In addition, it has also been proven to help curb cravings by regulating the mind-body signals, while addressing other underlying health concerns.
