HOT STONE MASSAGE THERAPY
**This service during the COVID-19 Pandemic is currently NOT OFFERED.
This service is a 90 minute treatment booked with Stephanie Wilcott, RMT.
The ancient art of applying hot stones to massage the body is beneficial is many ways. Primarily, the heat promotes an immediate and profound increase in circulation. The stones themselves retain this warmth while a deeper massage is achieved by the shape and density of the stone.
A brief cold application may be used after a muscle is thoroughly heated. This is only done at the site of a knot or trigger point and is intended to flush out toxins, followed by more heat. This hydrotherapy technique is employed to further circulation and encourage healing. During the treatment, the full body is massaged including the feet, hands, scalp and face, promoting relaxation of both body and mind. A great treat for yourself or as a gift certificate for a lucky someone!
